What is Prisflex?

A free media server for your own movies, TV shows, music, photos, books and games, plus the Prisflex App that plays them on TVs and phones. Prisflex Server runs on your Windows PC and holds your library; the Prisflex App plays it. It is made by Manoi Studios.

Is Prisflex free?

Yes. The server and the apps are free. Two paid plans unlock more: Remote Pass ($1.99 a month) for watching away from home, and PrisFlex Pass ($3.49 a month) for everything. Nothing that is free becomes paid, and offline playback never checks a licence. See pricing.

Does Prisflex come with movies or shows?

No. Prisflex streams your personal media library: your own files, your own TV tuner and your own photos, on your own PC. It does not supply any movies or shows.

Which devices does the Prisflex App run on?

It's built for Amazon Fire TV, Android TV and Android phones, and any web browser. Listings in the Amazon Appstore, Google Play and the App Store (iPhone, iPad and Apple TV) are coming, and so are CarPlay and Android Auto.

Where do I get the app?

Only from the app stores, never as a file from this site. The store listings aren't live yet. The web app comes with Prisflex Server (coming soon), so any browser in your home can use it. Get the app.

What do I need to run Prisflex Server?

A Windows PC with your library in folders. For the encoder, an NVIDIA graphics card (NVENC). For Live TV (PrisFlex Pass), a TV tuner on your PC, an HDHomeRun, or M3U / XMLTV channel lists.

Can I watch when I'm away from home?

Yes, with Remote Pass, which isn't on sale yet: your own secure address with a free certificate, a short link and a QR code to sign in, through your router or a VPN's forwarded port (for example Proton VPN), with converted streams when the connection is slow. PrisFlex Pass includes remote access for every account on your server.

Can I bring my watch history from Plex?

Yes. Import from Plex brings your watched marks and resume points with you, on the free plan.

Why does Prisflex convert my files?

So every file plays directly on your TV. The encoder converts the library once, to HEVC video, AAC audio and SRT subtitles in MKV, with your PC's NVIDIA graphics card. It runs in a queue you control, with a trash to restore originals, so the server never has to convert while you watch.

Can my family and friends have their own accounts?

Yes, for free. Each account has its own watched marks, with parental controls (rating limits) and private libraries behind a PIN. Two-step sign-in with an authenticator app is free too, and you can end any signed-in device.

What does Prisflex know about me?

Your libraries, plays and accounts stay on your own PC. For remote access, prisflex.com keeps only each server's address (a random id and its public IP address and port) and when it was last heard from. This website has no trackers and collects nothing itself; Cloudflare, which hosts it, keeps standard server logs. Read the privacy page.
